The Government launched, this Tuesday, the 5th generation of the Program of Local Contracts of Social Development (CLDS 5G), which introduces the figure of Local Manager, to act in childhood and aging.

This programme is coordinated by local authorities and aims to promote social inclusion, combat poverty and strengthen territorial cohesion. In this context, the Childcare Manager is created, assigned to the respective local nucleus of the Child Guarantee, which intervenes with low-income households and with children.

This includes, among others, actions promoting equal access for children and young people to essential services, education, health, food and decent housing, as well as actions promoting community-based monitoring and inclusion and combating discrimination, particularly for children and young people in situations of particular vulnerability.
