Recommendations to prevent and combat child, early and/or forced marriage
The book was prepared in the framework of the Working Group set up for this purpose.
The launch of the White Paper took place on 29 October at the National Library of Portugal: “Recommendations to prevent and combat child, early and/or forced marriage” developed in the framework of the Task Force established for this purpose.
The event was attended by Mónica Ferro, Director of the Office of the United Nations Population Fund in London, followed by a round table, which presented the steps of the process of drafting the document and some recommendations. The members of the Working Group, Alexandra Alves Luís (Women Without Borders Association) Catarina Frade Moreira (Researcher), Francisca Magano (UNICEF Portugal), Nuno Teixeira (Association for Family Planning) and Rosa Lourenço (National Commission for the Promotion of the Rights and Protection of Children and Youth) also participated. Margarida Balseiro Lopes, Minister of Youth and Modernisation, closed the event.
