On December 3, 2025, the CNPDPCJ received a visit from a Delegation of the Institute for the Defense of the Rights of the Child (INDDICA) of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste, as part of an INDICCA comparative study visit to Portugal.
In this meeting, Ana Isabel Valente, President of the CNPDPCJ, presented Portugal's experience in the field of promotion and protection of children's rights, including the promotion and protection system, the various levels of intervention, the role of the CNPDPCJ and the Single Strategy for the Rights of Children and Youth 2025-2035, in addition to the exchange of knowledge and experience around other aspects of common interest, contributing to the strengthening of institutional ties between the two countries.
The CNPDPCJ, through the International Relations Team and the Regional Technical Team of Lisbon, Santarém and Setúbal, also accompanied the INDICCA Delegation on a visit to the CPCJ of Lisbon Centre, during which the Timorese Delegation had the opportunity to know more in depth, on the ground, the functioning of a CPCJ and its articulation with the other actors of the promotion and protection system in the course of its activity.
