The Opening Session of the Month for the Prevention of Child Abuse, an initiative promoted by the National Commission for the Promotion of the Rights and Protection of Children and Youth (CNPDPCJ) and the CPCJ of Elvas, with the support of the Municipality, was held today, 1 April, in Elvas.

The moment was attended by the President of the CNPDPCJ, Ana Isabel Valente and the President of the CPCJ of Elvas, Raquel Guerra, who highlighted the importance of strengthening awareness and the role of the whole community in the protection of our children and young people.

As part of this program, an awareness-raising action was carried out by Fátima Duarte, Technician of the National Commission, followed by a debate dedicated to the identification of warning signs that may indicate situations of ill-treatment, abuse or negligence.

The session ended with a very special performance by the Elvas Children's Choir Group, which delighted everyone present.
