The CNPDPCJ’s National Council for Children and Youth (CNCJ) participated in the opening event of the European Youth Week, which took place on 24 April at the European Parliament in Brussels.

The event brought together around 1000 young people from across Europe and beyond, and focused on the themes of solidarity and equity, with the aim of amplifying young people’s voices, aspirations and initiatives, while raising awareness of youth-oriented opportunities and programmes. The event started with a plenary session, followed by a wide range of activities organised by the European institutions and relevant stakeholders, including workshops on various topics, a stand-in market and an event of networking.

The CNCJ was represented by counselor Diogo Bastos, accompanied by Zelinda Santos, from the CNPDPCJ Technical Team.
