The promotion, protection and protection of the human rights of children is one of the fundamental pillars for the development and progress of communities, and it is imperative to continue to adopt measures for the prevention of child and youth abuse at national level.
The SELO PROTETOR project is an integrated risk and danger management system and represents an opportunity for self-diagnosis and training directed to the Entities with Competence in Child and Youth Matters (ECMIJ) in the scope of the promotion and protection of the Rights of the Child, in accordance with the provisions of Article 7 of the Law on the Protection of Children and Youth in Danger.
Inspired by tried-and-tested national and international experiences, particularly the Australian model The Blue Card System, it is designed to provide information and guidance that helps organisations working with children and young people.
In the last three years, the Commissions for the Protection of Children and Youth (CPCJ) have been monitoring around 80,000 children and young people in danger each year; it is therefore crucial that we be able to focus on the prevention of children's rights through public policies that promote and distinguish best practices in this area.
Receiving the protective seal means that the entity has a focus on children's rights, creating proactive methodologies to promote children's rights.
