30th Anniversary of the Convention on the Rights of the Child, 2019
the National Campaign for Extended Rights
In 2019 the Convention celebrates its 30th anniversary. On November 20, the National Commission for the Promotion of the Rights and Protection of Children and Youth, in partnership with the Mission Structure for the Commemorations of the 5th Centenary of Circum-Navigation and the Lisbon City Council, celebrated all the rights of children, with the participation of students from educational establishments of Barreiro, in a ceremony that will take place at the Galeotas Pavilion of the Navy Museum and at Caravela Vera Cruz. To the commander of Caravela, the young people will deliver dozens of messages that will then be delivered to the Magellanic Schools Network, when Vera Cruz begins its journey, at the beginning of next year.
The ceremony took place in the Galeotas Pavilion of the Navy Museum and was attended by the President of the Republic, who finished the work. At the opening were the Deputy Chief of Staff of the Navy, the President of the Mission Structure for the Commemorations of the 5th Centenary of the Circum-Navigation, the Minister of Labour, Solidarity and Social Security and the President of the National Commission for the Promotion of the Rights and Protection of Children and Youth.
