Virtual Seminar on Reading Competence, Early Childhood, Reading in Digital Support, CERLALC-OEI | 7, 8 and 9 October 2020
On 7, 8 and 9 October 2020, the Virtual Seminar “Reading Competence, Early Childhood, Reading in Digital Support” will take place, an event organised by the Regional Centre for the Promotion of Books in Latin America and the Caribbean (CERLALC-UNESCO) and the Organization of Ibero-American States for Education, Science and Culture (OEI), with the support of the Ministry of Public Education and the Ministry of Culture and Youth of Costa Rica.
The Seminar, which aims to contribute to the reflection and regional exchange on topics of priority interest related to the integral development of children from 0 to 6 years of age, with the guarantee of their educational and cultural rights, will be developed in three sessions of three to four hours each through the virtual platform Zoom It is broadcast live on the social networks of the organising institutions and is structured in three thematic blocks: the importance of reading and expressive languages in early childhood, the use of digital technologies in carrying out educational and reading activities with children, and public policies focused on this age group.
